Care in the Community ... Moira Healthcare Alliance (MHA) was formed in 1999 to provide a comprehensive and coordinated system of healthcare services for aged and community services.

Moira Healthcare Alliance through leadership and a dedicated workforce provide care within the Moira Shire community. Valuing the aged, people with disabilities and their carers enables us to provide individualised support to promote independence.

How we do this …

MHA is a not-for-profit organisation. We are partly funded by the Department of Health, Department of Health and Ageing and Department of Veterans Affairs and the Moira Shire.


We are governed by a Board of Management, with representation from the local hospitals, Shire and community members. We have over 90 direct community care workers, a team of 600 volunteers and an office staff of 22.
